Participants will choose webinar dates when Modules 1-7 of the 60-hour course are completed.

It is highly recommended that you are 100% complete with your 60-hour coursework prior to taking the 15-hour interactive course.

If you are interested in obtaining an Illinois broker license, you must successfully complete the 60-hour Broker Pre-License Topics course AND the 15-hour Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles course to sit for the State and National real estate license exam.

Broker Pre-License Topics Online Course Material Course materials are hosted on the Eastern Illinois University Desire 2 Learn (D2L) course platform

• Your choice of textbook or searchable eBook – Modern Real Estate Practice in Illinois ($48 value-non-refundable)

This course will cover information on real estate concepts, math, concepts, brokerage, real property, contracts, the Illinois Real Estate License Act of 2000, financing, property management, appraisal, use controls for government and private land, fair housing, environmental issues, closing, and the updated TILA/RESPA information.

The 60-hour Broker Pre-License Topics course is a self-guided course with online reading, videos and quizzes to show student participation and proficiency. You must score at least 80% on a module review to advance to the next module. You will be able to retake all quizzes to achieve 80% or better, and until you are confident in your knowledge of the coursework.

After completing this course, you will be ready to take the 15-Hour Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles interactive webinar, also hosted on the D2L platform.

Students must have the 60-hour course for at least 10 days before they will be processed as complete.

60-hour Pre-License Topics Course Delivery

Textbook: physical textbooks are sent via UPS on weekdays during business hours. The textbook is for those who learn best with physical materials.

eBook:  link and access code are sent electronically on weekdays during business hours. The eBook is a paperless study option. It is uniquely portable for people who are busy and always on the move! It is searchable, allowing you to browse for select keywords. Please note: the eBook is for students who do not require printed materials. It is not printable.

15-hour Interactive Webinar Course Content

The 15-Hour Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles interactive webinar is a mandatory component of Illinois broker pre-license education. Participants will choose webinar dates when Modules 1-7 of the 60-hour course are completed. The 15-hour webinar course and interactive sessions are also housed on the same D2L platform. It is highly recommended that the student has completed the 60-Hour program prior to taking the 15-Hour interactive course.

15-hour Interactive Webinar Course Requirements

All webinars start promptly at 9:00 a.m. both days. End time is 4:30 p.m. both days.  The instructor will announce breaks and lunch period during each day’s session.

Students are required to be online for the entire course time and interact with live chat and quizzes. Attendance is taken throughout the webinar. If a student misses more than 15 minutes, they will be required to retake the entire 15-hour webinar.

15-hour Interactive Webinar Course Delivery

Participants will choose webinar dates when Modules 1-7 of the 60-hour course are completed. The 15-hour webinar course and interactive sessions are also housed on the same D2L platform.

5-10 days prior to the webinar, you will receive an email from Illinois REALTORS® with further information about accessing the online rooms and coursework.  All materials can be downloaded and/or printed once the course is open.

15-hour Interactive Webinar Course Equipment

You must use a computer or laptop with a strong internet signal. You will be able communicate with the instructor through a chat feature. Google Chrome is the best browser to use for this webinar. Internet Explorer cannot be used to access any D2L courses. Microsoft Edge and Safari often experience audio issues during the live presentation.

15-hour Interactive Webinar Course Date Changes

Participants will choose webinar dates when Modules 1-7 of the 60-hour course are completed. The 15-hour webinar course and interactive sessions are also housed on the same D2L platform.

Changing dates will require the payment of a $25 processing fee. “No Show” students will be charged a $40 fee before being registered for another date. Webinar registrations will be honored for 12 months FROM DATE OF PURCHASE i.e.) purchasing a webinar in January 2020 gives participants until January 2021 to complete the webinar without repurchasing.
