Leslie Rouda Smith, 2020 candidate for NAR president, meets with Illinois REALTORS® on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at the Westin Yorktown Lombard. Smith was meeting with Illinois REALTORS® to learn more about the association and those serving as volunteer leaders.

Illinois REALTORS® got a chance to meet 2020 NAR presidential candidate Leslie Rouda Smith at meetings held Tuesday and Wednesday in Lombard.

Smith, who served as 2016 chairman of the Texas Association of REALTORS®, had the opportunity over two days to learn more about Illinois REALTORS® and meet those who are serving on the national association’s board of directors.

Her visit was part of the association’s annual Fall Business Meetings held at the Westin Lombard Yorktown.

Smith is unopposed for 2020 NAR president. She brings more than 30 years of real estate experience. She’s served as a NAR regional vice president, and had previously been CEO of Prudential Texas Properties.

Smith has focused her campaign on working closely with local associations on NAR leadership opportunities; revolutionizing how the national association approaches the challenges it faces and finding new and better ways to engage members.
